Joel S. Emer is a Professor of the Practice at MIT and a Senior Distinguished Research Scientist with Nvidia. His research interests include accelerators, parallel and secure architectures, performance and power modeling, and reliability analysis. Emer holds a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from UIUC. He is a Fellow of the ACM and IEEE and a member of the NAE.
