ICFP strives to create a diverse and inclusive environment where people from different backgrounds and experiences can thrive around a shared passion for functional programming.
We host several events focused on promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion. You can register for any of these events during registration by marking the appropriate boxes, but this is not required for attendance. We hope to see you there! Everyone is welcome at any of these events.
These events include:
- Networking and community building lunches on Tuesday and Wednesday (October 14-15) for underrepresented minorities and members of the LGBTQ+ communities.
- Women in PL dinner on Wednesday, October 15, for women in the programming languages community.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.

This lunch is meant to bring together members of populations that have been historically underrepresented in the ICFP community, including women, African Americans, Hispanics, American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, and Native Pacific Islanders. The goal of this informal lunch is to foster relationships, and promote informal networking.
